I described the differences here including some of the design topology:making me think!!! How about pointing me toward a schematic of the version prior to this?
So a little word on some of the technical differences between the two designs. It's very easy to see that ZM has tightened up his version particularly in a more compact layout, use of cascode regulation for the input JFETs and finally some current sources. The output stage uses the Aleph CCS but with IRF 150's which provide intrinsic matching! As such it is a much more turnkey method of building an Aleph J. There is no need for matching the output devices whatsoever.
Best,
Anand.
It may not in practice. But they are made for that purpose and I have both so I haven't tried. But still likely much better to use hex in square block than bare wire. Are you sure that that maters? When I tighten down the screw hold downs on the euro blocks the ferrule is flattened.
Nice job!Second board ready to install.

Where you get the pcb?
Are gerbers posted somewhere here?
I'm a bit disappointed in the sound of my Aleph.
Interesting. A class D guy, arent ya?
Don't have anything against Class D, but.... For all I know it may be more accurate than A or AB, but the models I've heard to date lacked a little meat on the bones in the mids. I would comment that most early SS designs were kind of hard to listen to, so maybe w/ continued development???Interesting. A class D guy, arent ya?
You've done well, Lord Vader.I was picked to build 1 of the first to see if even a could build 1.
Oh lookie here. Another one of @birdbox trafo car seats in the wild!!!Coming together slower than expected, but nicely.

I wonder where to get those!
Just powered up my Aleph and had a hum through the speakers, not 60Hz, very similar to my SuperNait 3 if it has an "inductance" hissy fit. Powering down, briefly, no effect. Remove the left channel RCA and that channel stopped, did the right, same, re-connected and it's gone. There is 1 other difference in the system, yesterday I connected MFF RCA's and connected my sub.
