The John Busch Estate. Drivers, speakers, amps, parts

As you may know, my dear friend John Busch recently passed away.
https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/john-busch-r-i-p.387923/latest
I am helping his family find a buyer for all his audio equipment. John left a storage unit in Kerrville Texas full of woofers, tweeters, speaker prototypes, tube amps, large amounts of crossover parts and big, expensive inductors. Some of it is NIB, some used, some of unknown condition.

EDIT: New photos and new list starting at post #55

https://www.diyaudio.com/community/...ivers-speakers-amps-parts.388084/post-7117171

These posts will list what I think is in the storage unit that John left behind. I have not been in the storage space, the estimated inventory is based on John's 2018 inventory, recent photos taken my his brothers and some of what John Busch said a few weeks ago.

IMPORTANT! Since there is no one on site who is capable of going into the unit to ship anything, we want to sell this as a lot. We figure out a selling price, buyer takes all.* John wanted to find good homes for his speakers and gear, we hope that someone will be able to take it all, keep what they want and part out the rest to other speaker builders. There is currently no one in Kerrville with audio knowledge or who can ship anything, so I will be your contact point.
* John wanted me to have the pair of P.Audio 18 inch coax and some crossover parts, so those things will be held out of the sale.

What you will see in the next posts are photos of what actually IS in the storage unit. These photos were taken recently by John's brothers. So what you see in the photos is certainly there, although the quantities are uncertain.

NOTE: The Musical Angel 845 is spoken for by someone who can do local pickup. It has been removed from the list.

As for the rest of it, there is currently no way to verify if it is there or not. So please see the list of things only as "These might be there." Some of it certainly is, but we don't know details. I want any buyer to be clear going in that there is a treasure trove of audio gear, but we don't know exactly what is there.

CAVEAT EMPTOR!
Below you will see a list that is the 2018 inventory that John and I made. It is not currently accurate. However I have noted in the list the items that are visible in the photos. The item visible in the photos are listed in the first post.
If that is not clear, please contact me about details. I want everyone to understand that because of the situation, we do not know exactly what is there. It's a best guess based on the old inventory, the photos, and what John told me about 3 weeks ago.

It all has to go as a lot, sorry. I wish that I could be there to pick and choose and get everyone what they want, but it's not possible. :(
AFAIK most of the tubes are for the Music Angel and Ming Da amps seen in the photos. Driver tubes and output tubes that John used in the amps, such as KT88, KT120, KT150

Second that 'Good Luck with the sale' wish, sincerely. After I combined my father's stash with mine I often wonder if any one will 'value' it after I'm gone.
As a constructive suggestion of possible, considerable value added; foremost is a query as to the history of his storage space 'climate control' ? Kerrville, Texas... If so & verifiable ...Mention it !

Pano, having gone through such an exercise myself, it's a sad task to do.
I decided some time ago I would make sure I have a proper inventory and earmark stuff for people I like it to have it.
Mostly parts and lots of test equipment.

And there's always the vultures. I've seen cases where stuff was worth 10-s of thousands of euri, and people approaching the grieving widow offering to take it off her hands for € 250.

That vultures and cockroaches still are better than everything going to recycling (where it ends up in most of the cases) in multiple tours necessitating many hands for heavy lifting. The grieving widow won't do anything with the giga amount of stuff anyway and to those that have no clue it is just a burden. Maybe the person in question should have asked him/herself why to build up such a stash in the first place. There are lessons to be learned here, sad as it is.

Once I was given such a stash and when I look at the stuff I only see the stuff and the memories of the person fade away because of that.

Remember reading on line about this place that sent several semi's across country to take away some warehouse full of old electronics. They described the days and days of loading. Stupid Google just wont yak up the name of the place, always thinking I want to buy something in response to anything I enter. After a reasonable time searching, I just cant find it...and it's almost time to make lunch!

They got a lot of units and parts for a specific TT the warehouse owner produced. That search didnt work either.

You know, let this be an object lesson in preparing for old age and death. I am 66 years old, and my wife and I have already started to clean out the house and give away things to organizations that can use them, friends, etc. Part of this is the result of seeing what other friends have to deal with when parents/uncles/aunts pass away, and another is seeing what I had to deal with after my parents passed away in the last 5 years. I don't want my daughter to be saddled with the "clean out the house" task after our deaths. Keep things only of real value for memories.

I will soon be going through my very small stash of audio stuff, and I expect to give everything away, ideally to schools and young people that can use the parts and such. I probably will give away the components to those who are willing to make donation to DIY Audio.

And +10 on the idea that so-called vultures and cockroaches have a role to play to ensure that it does not go to the dump. I mean, it would be nice/exemplary to have good value paid to the surviving spouse (i.s.e., that someone is motivated by a sense of honor and ethics), but even if that does not occur, at least society is better off by not having the stuff go to land fill/incinerator.

@HiFi Dave
Price: I don't know. There's so much stuff in there I can't even estimate, I was hoping for offers. Imagine it as buying a storage locker. They open the door, you look around and make a bid.
Size: Good question and important for trucking. I will try to find out.
The size of the storage unit and the volume percentage (how full the unit is) may give us all a better feel for making an offer. Should I PM you with an offer or post it after we learn more?

Thanks again
Dave
